I’ll have a doctorate soon, most people I can utterly confuse with both physics and maths in seconds. I still get called girl, and regularly patronised about being no where near as smart as a man. That men are naturally superior because they can lift bigger bits of wood.

That’s really weird. At first, I thought the guy was saying that his emu gets confused when he sees his own reflection in a window. But then I watched it again, and it does seem like the guy is calling the women behind the glass, birds. Too weird.
Wasn’t there a time in the sixties when the hippy guys called women birds? I know people still sometimes refer to a young woman as a chick.
That’s not my idea of “groovy.”
